Shipping Aircraft parts into Thailand

The official Thai Customs Duty on aircraft parts is from 0 to 5%. If you ship your aircraft parts into Thailand by DHL or other Express Courier Service, the Customs Department will normally charge 20% duty or higher. It will normally take you a very long time and a lot of effort to convince them that the parts are genuine aircraft parts. If you ship your parts by NORMAL REGISTERED AIRMAIL to the Thai Flying Club address, they usually arrive within ten days, and the duty is usually 0 to 5% (if you put the correct information on the green Customs Declaration Slip). The reason is that the post office follows the rules, and they are familiar with the Thai Flying Club importing aircraft parts.

Therefore, we strongly advise you to ship your aircraft parts as "small packet" into Thailand by Normal Registered Airmail to:
(your name)
THAI FLYING CLUB
Bang Phra Airport
Sri Racha, Chonburi
20210
THAILAND
Tel: 66+38 777348.

On the small green customs form write the following:
Description of Goods: "Aircraft Parts - Custom Code 8803.90"
Value: (declare value)
Merchandise: X

Good Luck.
