HOW TO VALIDATE YOUR FOREIGN PILOT'S LICENSE TO FLY IN THAILAND

Welcome to the Thai Flying Club. If you would like to validate your foreign license to fly here, we are happy to help you.

This is what you need to do -- FIRST TIME APPLICANTS

  1. Come and visit the club to meet us and ask any questions.

  2. Schedule to take the exam THAI AIR LAW at the Thai DCA. You need to complete this test before doing anything else. Test questions for Thai Air Law Exam.

  3. Complete this form -- Application for Written Test and Rendering a Personnel License Valid (see bottom of this page)

  4. After you complete the test, fill out this form. Post this original signed form to the club at PO Box 13, Bang Phra 20111 Thailand  -- www.aviation.go.th/safety/ApplicationForms/PEL-012_RENDERmm[1].pdf (see bottom of this page)

  5. Copy of your Passport -- write "True Copy" sign your name.

  6. Copy of your Foreign Aircraft License -- write "True Copy" sign your name.

  7. Confirmation Letter of your Aircraft License from your DCA. For FAA -- https://amsrvs.registry.faa.gov/amsrvs/main.asp

  8. Copy of your current Medical Certificate -- write "True Copy" sign your name.

  9. Copy of the last page of your logbook -- write "True Copy" sign your name.

  10. 3x passport style photos of your head (1")

  11. The club will write a letter of recommendation to the DCA.

  12. 2,000 Baht DCA fee + 500 Baht TFC fee for transport.

  13. After all documents are submitted to DCA, WAIT 4-5 months for 3 official agencies to check your background.

  14. When 3 agencies reply, the DCA will issue your PPL Validation.

  15. Pay 10,000 Baht for THAI FLYING CLUB membership.

  16. Receive your Thai Validation and come fly with us.

Yearly renewal of Thai Validation of Foreign License to fly TFC club aircraft -- EXISTING TFC MEMBERS

  1. Application for rendering foreign license valid (see bottom of this page)

  2. 3x Photos (1")

  3. Copy Passport

  4. Copy Foreign License

  5. Copy current Medical

  6. Copy last page of Logbook

  7. Confirmation letter from your DCA. For FAA -- https://amsrvs.registry.faa.gov/amsrvs/main.asp

  8. 2,000 Baht DCA fee + 500 Baht TFC fee for transport.

  9. TFC will write a letter of recommendation to DCA.

Yearly renewal of Thai Validation of Foreign License to fly personal or company aircraft -- EXISTING TFC MEMBERS

  1. Application for rendering foreign license valid (see bottom of this page)

  2. 3x Photos (1")

  3. Copy Passport

  4. Copy Foreign License

  5. Copy current Medical*

  6. Copy last page of Logbook

  7. Confirmation letter from your DCA. For FAA -- https://amsrvs.registry.faa.gov/amsrvs/main.asp

  8. 2,000 Baht DCA fee + 500 Baht TFC fee for transport.

  9. TFC will write a letter of recommendation to DCA.

  10. Letter from Company or Thai Partner giving permission.

  11. C of R

  12. 5 Year Permit

*Note - CPL candidates will need to take Thai Air Law, Human Factors, Nav and Met at the DCA, but you must have a position with a company first.
